The event had approximately 260 Sport Fishermen, representing approximately 30 fishing clubs from different Brazilian states. After being positioned on the court, they occupied about three kilometers from the beach, something very beautiful to see. [Us] [us]
The organization was entrusted to the Brazilian Confederation of Fishing and Casting (CBPL – NPB) and had the support of the Municipal Government of the Municipality of Caraguatatuba, a city located on the north coast of São Paulo. [Br] [br]
The championship was played in five categories: Youth, Women, Men, Master and Senior. In the men’s category, each club could participate with up to five athletes and in the others with up to three. As expected, the dispute ended up being very difficult and fierce, mainly due to the high technical level, poor sea conditions and low incidence of fish. [Br] [br]
The competition was held in two days, and each one of them had three stages of 1h20min, with an interval of twenty minutes for changing the box. The final classification was the sum of points (2 x 1) of the two days. [Br] [br]

“It was with great satisfaction and emotion that I followed the whole event, not only because I was an athlete, but mainly as an aficionado and specialist in the sport, having the opportunity to see old teammates and meet in person a lot of people who already kept in touch through my work at Revista Pesca & Companhia, forums and social networks. ”[br] [br]
